Denny Morrison skated a strong 1500m race, finishing in 1:46.25 to capture the silver medal. Gold went to Ivan Skobrev of Russia (1:45.49) and Mark Tuitert of the Netherlands managed to win the bronze medal in 1:46.59. This is a second individual podium finish this season for Morrison, who won a bronze medal in the 1000m at the last World Cup this Fall.

Denny Morrison of Fort St. John, B.C., won the silver medal in the men’s 1,500 metres on Friday at the World Cup Final in long track speed skating.  Morrison clocked 1:46.12 finishing behind Shani Davis of the U.S., first at 1:45.20.  Kjeld Nuis of the Netherlands took the bronze in 1:46.61.

After beating the United States in the long-track speedskating team pursuit final, Canada's men were hoping the hockey team could repeat the feat in Sunday's gold-medal game.

RICHMOND, B.C. — Denny Morrison emerged from his latest poor performance at the Olympic and began to question everything.
